All for One, One for All

ESTEAM結成以来、東京都大会においては1位の座を常に争う東京を代表する中学・高校マーチングバンドとして成長して参りました。 　創部3年目の1995年には、マーチングバンド・バトントワリング連盟主催の関東大会、そして全国大会に初出場を果たし、その後も常に上位の好成績を納め、2012年全国大会においては、高等学校中編成の部、編成別最優秀賞を受賞しました。 最近では2016年、2017年、2018年、2019年連続で全国大会出場を果たしました。 　こうした大会に参加するだけではなく、東京ディズニーランド・ティズニーシーパレード、警視庁・消防庁主催の交通安全パレード、都内/地方の様々なフェスティバルやイベントにも出演しております。 　マーチングイン岡山、沖縄スーパーマーチング大会、イギリス遠征など、遠征活動も積極的に行っております。 マスコミから取材を受けることも多く、NHK音楽番組「いっきにパラダイス」やZ会CMに出演、映画「６４」、プレイステーション、ナイキなどの映像・音楽出演など、ESTEAMの演奏・演技は幅広い分野で全国的に放映されております。

Since the team’s establishment in 1993, we have been practicing hard to maintain our position as one of the top teams that represent Tokyo. In 1996, we made our way up to the National Championships hosted by the Japan Marching Band Association (JMBA) for the first time, and have successfully been able to perform in major competitions ever since. Apart from these competitions, we participate in many events such as the Music Festival Program at Tokyo Disney Land and Sea, parades and performances hosted by the local police force and much more. We participate and perform in many local events enthusiastically and are known by a wide audience.

入部したばかりの中学1年生から、経験を積んだ高校3年生まで一緒に活動するチームとして、全日本マーチングバンド・バトントワリング協会主催の大会に毎年出場しています。シーズンは9月の東京都大会に始まり、11月の関東大会では全国大会への切符をかけて戦います。全国大会に出場すること、そして全国最優秀チーム　”グランプリ”　に選ばれることがESTEAMの目指す最大目標です。

As a team in which 7th graders and 12th graders practice together, the performers of Esteam have to understand each other thoroughly and work together as a team headed for one goal. They practice hard to eliminate the gap that occurs between new members of the team and members that have been in the team for six years. Esteam performs in annual competitions held from September to December, and their season peaks when they practice to be able to get a spot to perform at the national championships in sectionals held in November. The team’s ultimate goal is to be the top team in Japan. 

日本のマーチングを代表する素晴らしいコーチ陣の指導の元、厳しい練習と、数々の大きな舞台経験を介して、 演奏演技の技術力向上はもちろん、生活態度、マナー、社会のルールについても学びます。そして６年間の厳しいマーチングバンド活動を通し、部員一人一人がマーチングアスリートへと成長していきます。「夢を叶える力＝ESTEAM」 “焦らず、慌てず、諦めない” を合言葉に、マーチングアスリートとして、仲間と一緒に数々の試練を乗り越え、支え、支えられながら、社会で生きるために大切なスキルを身につけた時に、真のESTEAMERと成ります。ESTEAMERは社会へ出てからも、それぞれが“夢を叶える力”を武器に、国内の一般マーチングバンド、本場アメリカDCI、WGIなど、国境を越えて世界へと活躍の場を広げています。

Throughout the many years we have spent together as a team, we have developed an outstanding reputation for musical excellence. With many coaches and teachers that represent the marching band world by our side, we go through continuous days of hard practices to grow as marching band athletes. Students are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for themselves and their fellow band members, as well as the school, their parents and peers. The skills gained from this experience can last a lifetime.  Students will learn more than just music, they learn about discipline, respect, goal oriented achievements, positive motivation, and how to work as a group.  All of these skills are vital life/career skills that will later be necessary as they take their first steps into the real world. Many team members have made their way to the United States to enter world-class marching band teams, and carry their pride as a well taught and nurtured true marching athlete we call "ESTEAMER".
